Black Friday Stampede

We talked about "stampede" this afternoon.

Here's a short video clip on Black Friday Stampede

What is Black Friday?

Black Friday is the day following Thanksgiving Day in the United States, traditionally the beginning of the Christmas shopping season.

You might also want to think of the following to help you in your composition:

(1) What cause stampedes? Why do you think it happen?
(2) What will happen during a stampede?

Welcome Back!!

Dear Pupils

Good to see all of you again!!!

I think we had a good start. The last two days had been very enjoyable - we managed to tour around the new campus.... and had quite a fair bit of fun reflecting during our heart-to-heart session during the morning. Good to also see more pupils asking questions - and this is a very important life skill which I hope you can learn before you leave Dazhong.

Asking questions allow you to clarify your doubts and thoughts. Asking questions also show that you are thinking. And this tells me that you are listening actively and paying attention in class.

You are beginning to walk neatly in straight rows - though I think there's room for improvement! And I see a good awareness in pupils becoming more loving towards the environment by taking initiatives to switch off the lights along the corridor.

The classroom is also very clean.... and some of you are showing good and basic leadership qualities. I hope to see more people coming up to show your leadership skills. You dont need to be in any position to exhibit/show leadership skills.... just take initiatives and be self-directed :)

One of the more important points we raised today during the Heart-to-Heart session is to cultivate the habit of sleeping early. It comes with time.... try it for a few weeks then you will really appreciate the beauty of sleeping early!! And it keeps you healthy - a healthy body and healthy mind will help you perform better in the examination! Trust me!

Last but not least, I want to thank Majorie and Medwin for taking the role of Class Monitor. And I would appreciate if all of you can cooperate with them :)

Adious!

Mr Andy
